Nagarkurnool District Collector Badavath Santosh stated that private hospitals must operate with proper permissions as per government regulations and provide quality healthcare services to the public.

He warned that criminal cases will be registered against hospitals operating with fake certificates. He emphasized the need for strict inspections of private hospitals and stringent action against unauthorized scanning centers.

The Collector chaired a district-level committee meeting at the Collectorate Video Conference Hall to review permissions for newly proposed private hospitals. The meeting was attended by medical officers, hospital supervisors, and program officers.

During the meeting, Collector Santosh inquired with the District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO) regarding whether the private hospitals applying for new permissions possess the necessary authorizations and valid certificates. He also asked for field-level inspection details for each of the new proposals. He questioned whether the documents submitted by the 21 hospitals seeking new permissions had been thoroughly verified.
