Modi govt’s 11 years have harmed democracy, economy, society: Kharge

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday hit out at the Modi government alleging that the past 11 years have deeply harmed “Indian democracy, the economy, and the country’s social fabric’.

In a statement on social media platform X, Kharge accused the BJP-RSS alliance of systematically weakening constitutional institutions and undermining their autonomy.

He claimed that democratic values have been eroded through backdoor efforts to topple elected governments and by imposing a one-party authoritarian rule. "The rights of states have been ignored, and the federal structure has been undermined," he said.
