Minister Ponguleti reviews flood control measures, construction of Indiramma houses

: State Revenue, Housing and Information Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that the collectors of the Godavari and Krishna river basin districts should be ready for flood prevention measures.

On Wednesday, the minister held a review at the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Secretariat in Hyderabad along with the collectors and senior officials of the respective districts. Speaking on the occasion, the minister suggested that lessons be learned from past experiences, identify low-lying areas in advance and take appropriate measures. He said that steps should be taken to prevent any loss of life and property in the wake of heavy rains.
