KTR to miss Green Leadership award ceremony in New York due to prior commitments

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President and former IT Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR), today expressed regret that he will not be able to attend the Green Leadership Award 2025 ceremony scheduled on September 24 in New York City, due to pressing political commitments and election-related preparatory meetings in Telangana.

In a statement, KTR, who has been chosen as the recipient of this prestigious award, said “Truly humbled to be chosen for the Green Leadership Award 2025 at the 9th NYC Green School Conference, organised as part of Climate Week alongside the UN General Assembly. This recognition is a tribute to Telangana’s ambitious green journey under the leadership of former CM KCR garu and the BRS government. Due to prior commitments, I regret my inability to attend the award ceremony in New York.”
He said that he considers this honour a testament to the BRS government's collective efforts to build a greener, more climate-resilient Telangana.
