District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) P. Srinivas underscored the vital role of journalists in creating public awareness about government welfare schemes and development initiatives.

He was speaking at a special Vartalap Media Workshop organized by the Hyderabad Regional Office of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) in Mahabubnagar as part of the nationwide campaign titled "12 Years of Trust, Development and Public Welfare."

Inaugurating the workshop, Srinivas highlighted the growing importance of fact verification and responsible journalism in the age of artificial intelligence and digital communication. He urged media professionals to verify information thoroughly before publication and contribute to public awareness through ethical and accurate reporting.
