Humane Approach Key to Tribal Development, Says Minister Laxman Kumar

State Tribal Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar on Wednesday directed officials to adopt a humane and proactive approach in addressing the issues faced by tribal communities, while prioritising the development of basic infrastructure in tribal areas.

Chairing a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat, the Minister emphasised the government's commitment to improving the quality of life of tribal populations. He called on officials to work with sincerity and ensure inclusive development by providing essential amenities such as roads, housing, electricity, and safe drinking water in every tribal habitation.

"These basic facilities form the foundation for improving living standards in tribal areas," he said, underscoring the need for targeted interventions.

The meeting, attended by Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir, district collectors, ITDA Project Officers, forest officials, and public representatives, reviewed key issues affecting tribal regions across the State.
