Dengue Awareness Rally Marks National Dengue Day in Warangal

In observance of National Dengue Day, the Warangal District Medical and Health Department, in coordination with the Municipal Corporation staff and MGM Nursing College students, organized a dengue awareness rally from MGM Nursing College to IMA Hall.

The event concluded with the formation of a human chain at the busy MGM Junction, featuring placards and awareness slogans. The rally was flagged off by Dr. B. Sambasiva Rao, District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO), Warangal. Following the rally, a formal meeting was held at the IMA Hall. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sambasiva Rao emphasized this year's National Dengue Day theme: "Timely Preventive Measures with Community Participation — Control Dengue through Clean Surroundings and Healthy Living." He highlighted that Aedes mosquitoes, the primary carriers of dengue, bite during the day and breed in clean stagnant water. He urged citizens to ensure cleanline
