CM to inaugurate final stretch of Samruddhi Expressway on June 5

The final 76-kilometre segment of the ambitious Mumbai-Nagpur Super Communication Expressway, known as the ‘Samruddhi Mahamarg’, will be inaugurated on June 5 by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, a senior Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) official said on Monday.

This last stretch, connecting Igatpuri in Nashik to Amane in Thane, completes the 701-kilometre high-speed corridor, which will be open to traffic the same day, officials said.
According to MSRDC Managing Director Anil Gaikwad, all construction on the final segment has been completed. Built at a cost of Rs 1,182 crore, this section was jointly funded by the MSRDC and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
