IN ANTICIPATION of matric valedictory celebrations, the City's enforcement services will increase patrols and vehicle checkpoints on routes in the vicinity of beaches and other popular venues in the CBD.
Safety and Security mayco member JP Smith, said they are on alert as the school term winds down.
"Every year, we see large gatherings at our public open spaces, beaches, and party hubs like Long Street as learners mark the end of their school careers before the final exams.
