This gripping Carling Knockout clash ended with Stellenbosch winning 5-4 in a tense penalty shootout.

Having made a rare start for Chiefs, Ntwari’s act of defiance just before the shootout left fans and analysts questioning what ramifications, if any, this would have on team dynamics.

At the post-match presser, Stellenbosch coach Steve Barker offered a succinct response when asked how he would handle a similar situation.

"I don't think a player from our club would do that," he said, effectively closing the door on further discussions about Ntwari’s misconduct.

However, Barker took the opportunity to emphasise the values instilled within his own team.
