LEAP officer faces scrutiny over little boy's death

THE City of Cape Town has confirmed it is investigating claims that one of its LEAP officers was involved in an accident which left a three-year-old boy dead in Elsies River.
In a statement by People’s Movement for Change, it claims the child was run over by a City LEAP officer, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time.
The officer is also accused of threatening a family member with a firearm, intensifying their trauma.
