Cape Town International Jazz Festival hits all the right notes
April 25, 2025
|Cape Argus
THE stage is set for an electrifying weekend of live music, culture and celebrations as the Cape Town International Jazz Festival (CTIJF) makes its grand return.
-
Promising a vibrant atmosphere filled with memorable moments, the festivities kicked off last night with the annual Free Concert at Greenmarket where the likes of British acid jazz outfit Incognito as well as TKZee, The Ploemies, rising star Hannah Ray, and vocal powerhouses Andrea Fortuin and Fancy Galada took to the stage.
In between sets, DJ Eazy kept the crowd moving with his high-energy mixes.
Over the years, it has become a firm favourite as it sets the tone for the weekend ahead, giving festivalgoers a taste of the calibre and variety the CTIJF is known for.
And in true jazz fest style, the line-up brings a mix of legends, crowd-pleasers and new voices.
