Entrants to dress as assorted vegetables, but are any of them going as runners?
March 05, 2026
|Cambridge News
TWENTY-TWO runners will take to the start line of the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon dressed as vegetables and flowers - raising funds and awareness for mental health charity Cultivating Change - and two of them will be gunning for World Records.
-
The group - which includes broccoli, tomatoes, sunflowers, carrots, lettuces, peas, sweetcorn, a beetroot, aubergine, potato and a parsnip - represents a fourfold increase on last year, when five vegetable costume wearing runners took part.
Among the field, one runner will attempt to become the fastest woman to complete a half marathon in a vegetable costume, while another is targeting the world record as the fastest aubergine over the distance.
