Trump scraps trade talks with Canada over Reagan ad

President Donald Trump said he would immediately halt all trade negotiations with Canada, citing a Canadian advertisement against his signature tariffs plan featuring the voice of former President Ronald Reagan.

“Tariffs are very important to the national security, and economy, of the USA,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. “Based on their egregious behaviour, all trade negotiations with Canada are hereby terminated.”
