PDIC says within target with liquidation plans
March 20, 2026
|Business Mirror
THE Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp. (PDIC) filed last year about 46 asset distribution plans (ADPs) in liquidation courts across the country to expedite the release of payments to creditors of closed banks.
-
A statement issued by the PDIC last Thursday read that the state-run insurer completed the filing of the plans, which is the primary legal mechanism through which assets of closed banks are distributed.
The filings include 20 final ADPs and 26 partial ADPs, with each plan detailing how assets will be allocated based on their estimated realizable value as of a defined cutoff date.
The PDIC files either partial ADPs—covering specific assets already realized or liquidated—or final ADPs, which account for all remaining assets.
