Comelec backs retaining SK, calls for reforms

THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) said it favors retaining the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) while pursuing reforms to improve the youth council system.
Comelec spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco said the poll body respects the personal view of Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla on the issue.
“We deeply respect the personal view of the honorable Secretary of the Interior and Local Government,’ Laudiangco said.
He noted that Remulla’s position may come from his extensive experience in governance.
