Tree-mendous set of summer events at the arboretum!

WONDROUS TREES WILL RUN DURING THE HOLIDAYS TO CONNECT VISITORS WITH THE NATURAL WORLD
THE National Memorial Arboretum is hosting a free summer programme to engage visitors of all ages with the natural world.
Wondrous Trees will run from July 19 to August 31 at the Alrewas site, exploring the stories, science and sounds of the arboretum’s trees.
It is hoped the programme will encourage outdoor discovery, participation and reflection on the connections between people, trees and the environment.
Events include a new sound art installation, music-making workshops, interactive storytelling and arts and crafts.
"Wondrous Trees will offer the chance to discover and connect with nature," said Rachel Smith, head of participation and learning at the arboretum.
"Trees have long been powerful symbols of life, remembrance, and renewal. Our summer programme has been inspired by the stories, science and sounds of the arboretum’s trees.
"Its free, inclusive, participatory activities will give visitors of all ages the chance to explore, reflect and learn from the stories trees tell."
