'Scheme will help to ease congestion'

A MULTI-million highways improvement scheme to ease congestion in Burton is set for completion after 16 months of work.
Carried out by Staffordshire County Council, the improvements are designed to ease congestion and increase capacity at the A38 (T) Branston interchange junction.
The works include the creation of additional lanes around the junction, on the slip roads and on Branston Road and Parkway.
New traffic signals have also been installed, and the traffic management currently in place because of the works will be removed before the Easter bank holiday.
