Runway to be closed for eight Wednesdays to invest in airport's future

THE runway at East Midlands Airport is closing for eight days for a major upgrade.
-
For eight separate Wednesdays from December to February, the runway will be shut to allow improvements to lighting systems, taxiways and the central apron - where commercial aircraft park.
The runway will be closed from 10am to 6pm today, and then on December 17, January 7, January 14, January 21, January 28, February 4 and February 11.
