GOLF David Puig fired a spotless final-round 66 to become the first Spanish winner of the BMW Australian PGA Championship since Seve Ballesteros in 1981.

Puig started the day in a three-way tie for the lead but gave himself an early three-shot cushion after reeling off a hat-trick of birdies at the second, third and fourth.
