FEARS RAISED OVER INCREASED TRAFFIC AND FLOODING RISK
PLANS have been lodged to build almost 300 houses on greenfields in Uttoxeter.
The proposal submitted to East Staffordshire Borough Council will see up to 295 new houses off Stafford Road.
The outline planning application leaves all matters reserved for a future detailed submission, except for access. Access to the development is proposed to the south of the site from Stafford Road.
The majority of the site will be kept as open space, and new pedestrian links will connect with the public right of way, concentrated to the north and east of the plot.
The indicative site masterplan shows that development will be focused on the south and west.
The developer, Hallam Land, commissioned a review into the housing land supply in East Staffordshire.
