Striker Agyemang did not play any minutes for Mauricio Pochettino's side as the USMNT faced Australia, a game they won 2-1 thanks to a double from Coventry's Haji Wright.
Adams was also given a break as Gambia ran riot against the Seychelles, winning 7-0 in their latest World Cup qualifier.
Adama Sidibeh scored twice, as did Musa Barrow, while Abdoulie Manneh bagged a hat-trick.
