JAMES Fanshawe's Augustus Gloop was a ready winner on his third start and can go in again in the Bet £10 Get £40 With BetMGM Handicap at Wolverhampton.
The three-year-old made steady progress in novice events, with an encouraging fifth on his Kempton debut followed by a nose defeat at Lingfield and then an emphatic victory at Newcastle last time.
The runner-up and hot favourite that day, Major Neigh Sayer, has since opened his account at Newmarket and competed at Listed level in France, albeit coming up short in testing conditions.
With all that in mind, Augustus Gloop should be very competitive as he enters the handicap sphere with a starting rating of 82.
