A CHARITY football tournament at St George's Park has raised £6,000 for the Alzheimer's Society.
The Football Association (FA) hosted its annual Grassroots Charity Tournament at the football centre near Burton with teams such as the Premier League, EFL, Sport England and Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), among others.
It gave the players the chance to play at the home of England's national football teams.
The tournament was the fourth of its kind, and raised more than £6,000 for the FA's official charity partner, doubling last year's total.
Before the tournament kicked off, Nigel, 72, who lives with mixed dementia, and his wife Sandra, 73, spoke to participants about their own experience of the condition.
