Suburban Searle strikes twice as Redbridge see off Wessex at Lockleaze

THREE points separate the top five teams in the Premier Division. The only unbeaten side are Warmley Redbridge who travelled to Lockleaze Sports Club and returned with a 3-1 victory against Wessex Wanderers, after a goal in each half from Ed Searle and a goal from Scott Mills early in the second half. Tom Trimble replied for Wessex, who dropped to fifth.
Second-placed Almondsbury Reserves scored five times for the second successive week. Toby Kellett, Kye Howell, Theodore Cox and Reece Rogers scored in the first half against Easton Cowboys, and Rogers scored the fifth 10 minutes from the end. Cowboys hit back in an exciting finish, scoring four times through Marcus Hopes (2), Lucas Adongo Awane and Francis Chukwebuka.
Thab Said gave Phoenix NG an early lead at the BAWA against Jamaica Bell. Mekhi Duncan made it 2-0, Sadiq Ali added a third on 26 minutes, but the ‘Bell’ hit back to score twice and set up an exciting finish. At Pen Park, Southmead Athletic beat Henbury & Rockleaze Rangers 6-0 to move into fourth place. Following three successive wins, Old Cothamians lost 2-1 against Avonmouth Reserves at Coombe Dingle.
Stoke Gifford United Reserves moved off the foot of the table, beating St Aldhelms 3-0 at SGS College.
