'Story's over' City book shop to close after three decades

A SPECIALIST travel bookshop in Bristol city centre has announced it will close its doors for good later this month.
Stanfords book shop on Corn Street
Stanfords on Corn Street confirmed it will cease trading on Saturday, January 17, ending nearly 30 years of business in the city.
The team announced the news on Friday with a "heavy heart".
A spokesperson said: "Since opening in 1997, the shop has been through thick and thin, faced all manner of challenges and has subsequently evolved to be not just the go-to destination for maps, guides and travel expertise in Bristol, but also a bookshop with character and flare.
