Resident hits out at solar farm plans

PLANS for a major 140-acre solar farm in North East Somerset would be a "blight on the countryside" a local man has warned.

A planning application was submitted to Bath and North East Somerset Council in November to create a 50 megawatt solar farm in between Bishop Sutton and Temple Cloud. Regener8 Power Ltd wants to install ground-mounted solar panels on 58.1 hectares (143.6 acres) of fields south-west of The Street and Stowey Lane, west of the Nanny Hun's Lane byway.
