Oxford graduate was 'defending other activists'

A PALESTINE Action activist accused of hitting a police officer with sledgehammer during an alleged attack at an Israeli defence firm is a mathematician, linguist and philosopher with a degree from Oxford University, a court has heard.

Samuel Corner, 23, is one of six activists accused of carrying out an attack at the Filton factory of Elbit Systems UK, a defence firm based in Israel, after breaking into the site in a prison van in the early hours of August 6 2024, using sledgehammers as weapons and wearing red jumpsuits.
