Jewson/Hellenic Super Seasiders in statement victory at Buckland
December 01, 2025
|Bristol Post
CLEVEDON Town hold a four-point lead at the top of the Jewson League Premier Division following an eye-catching 4-0 victory at Buckland Athletic.
The Devon side are well placed for a promotion challenge of their own, but they were swept aside once inform striker Sam Beresford had struck twice for the Seasiders inside seven minutes.
Attacking midfielder Jacob Sloggett, recently signed from Shepton Mallet, added the third on 64 minutes, and he scored again with a superb solo effort five minutes later.
In another clash between two promotion chasers, Paulton Rovers drew 1-1 at Saltash United.
Jack Jefford's close-range finish gave the Cornish side the lead just before halftime, but Kitan Jaiyeoba equalised on 64 minutes with a header from Elliot Haffenden's cross.
Oldland Abbotonians' trip to Barnstaple Town, and Brislington's home game against Torpoint Athletic, both fell victim to waterlogged pitches.
