House blaze Children flee home as latest arson attack hits Fishponds

CHILDREN were forced to flee in the middle of the night as a deliberately started fire tore through their home.

The blaze in Oldbury Court Road in Fishponds broke at around 3am on Saturday.

It is the latest in a series of arson attacks to have plagued the area this year, although police have not formally linked it to any previous incidents.

Saturday morning’s fire began with a car and then spread to the house. Officers, fire investigators and crime scene investigators spent much of Saturday carrying out enquiries in the area.

While the fire investigation has yet to be completed, police are investigating the fire as arson.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses, information and any dashcam or other footage of the incident.
