Football Rovers explore possibility of Clarke-Harris returning to Mem

BRISTOL Rovers are among the clubs showing an interest in Rotherham United striker Jonson Clarke-Harris this summer, the Bristol Post understands, nearly five years after he left north Bristol.
The 30-year-old has a year remaining on his contract at the New York Stadium, having rejoined the Millers from Peterborough United last summer. However, it is believed the forward will be allowed to leave South Yorkshire this summer should the right offer come in for him.
Amid rumours that Rotherham will sanction an exit for Clarke-Harris this summer along with links to Rovers, the Rotherham Advertiser asked new Millers manager Matt Hamshaw about the 30-year-old’s situation at the club before reporting the Gas’ interest.
"There has been interest but it has only been interest," Hamshaw confirmed. "No one has put an offer on the table for us yet. Until we get (a suitable) one he is still our player."
