Football Left-back Jack attracted by the 'high ambitions' of Rovers

The 24-year-old left-back has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, joining from Peterborough United on a free transfer with performance-related contingency fees.

Sparkes, born in Exmouth, has returned to the West Country and is the first addition at Rovers since the arrivals of new director of football Ricky Martin and head coach Darrell Clarke.

Speaking to Rovers' club media, the club's new arrival said: "I'm really happy to be here. Once I heard of Bristol Rovers' interest I couldn't wait to get here and get started.
