BRISTOL City will use the first week of the November international break primarily for recovery, Gerhard Struber has explained, with the Robins head coach offering his assessment of his side’s start to the Championship campaign after their draw with Watford.

City avoided entering the November interval on a run of three successive league defeats as they came from behind to draw 1-1 with the Hornets at Vicarage Road on Friday evening. Scott Twine’s sixth goal of the campaign, an impressive free-kick, cancelled out Marc Bola’s early first-half strike.

Now, City and Struber have two weeks without a Championship game over the international break before they welcome Swansea City to Ashton Gate on Saturday, November 22. With this the final interval until March, the Robins boss knows exactly what his players need over the coming days.

“Recovery,” the head coach simply told the Bristol Post when asked what the coming fortnight would hold. “It’s a really big recovery week right now in front of us.
