Football Evans expects Promise to be back for Chesterfield test
February 03, 2026
|Bristol Post
HEAD coach Steve Evans has confirmed Bristol Rovers’ record signing Promise Omochere is in line for a potential return to the squad against Chesterfield on Saturday.
Promise Omochere
The 25-year-old has not featured for the Gas since the 4-0 defeat against Crawley Town on October 25, 2025. Injury issues have been a problem throughout his time in north Bristol, as he has played only 90 minutes in five consecutive league games once since he joined in July 2024.
Speaking about when Omochere will likely return to the squad, Evans said: “Should be training Monday. We'd struggle not to have Promise in the group next weekend, if he has a full week’s training”
