FORGET planning out my autumn/winter wardrobe, for the past two weeks my mind has been firmly on what we all should be wearing next spring and summer.

Fashion month proves it's well worth a look

X (FILES) FACTOR: Gillian Anderson

My eyes have been glued to the runways of New York, London, Milan and Paris as the biannual fashion month circus rolls through the sartorially blessed cities.

In the Big Apple I cooed over Michael Kors and Coach, in London I bowed down to Burberry's festival-themed collection (as detailed last week), swooned at Simone Rocha's sequins and made a shopping list of high street giant H&M's see-now buy-now presentation.

In Milan I caught my breath at the opulence of Demna's debut as creative director at Gucci, and found myself coming over a little emotional at the footage of the Giorgio Armani show.
