‘Everything on tap’ Well-connected area still hangs onto its village feel

TRANQUIL neighbourhood just minutes from the junction of the M4 and M5, is a place where residents enjoy the best of both worlds.

Stoke Gifford resident Beryl Evans, 71, said she loved the amount of green space available to her and her beloved dog Buddy.

Despite its close proximity to major transport hubs and expansive new housing estate, Stoke Gifford has managed to retain its village charm, offering ample green spaces and a relaxed atmosphere in South Gloucestershire.

Beryl Evans, who has been living in the area north of Bristol for nearly 35 years, was out walking her beloved Cockapoo Jack Russell cross, Buddy.

She encapsulated why she loves living in Stoke Gifford.

“There’s lots of walks for the dogs, so many places to walk,” she expressed.

“Forty Acres and Mead Park are both lovely.”

While neighbouring areas like Patchway and Filton are on the brink of massive development and investment with the upcoming Brabazon ‘new town’ and the YTL Arena, Stoke Gifford residents seem quite content with their current situation.

The area exudes the tranquillity of a sleepy countryside village, despite being just a stone's throw away from Bristol Parkway station and near the M32 and the Almondsbury Interchange where the M4 and M5 motorways meet.

Ms Evans, 71, attributes her youthful appearance to the regular walks she takes with Buddy in Stoke Gifford’s parks.
