A SLICE of Cold War history has surfaced in the property market and could prove a canny purchase for those fearing an impending apocalypse or simply needing additional storage space.
The rare Royal Observer Corps (ROC) underground bunker, a relic of the decades when the threat of nuclear conflict loomed large, is being offered for sale.
The listing, which has appeared on the property portal Zoopla, confirms the bunker's location in Hallen, South Gloucestershire, and has a guide price of £20,000.
Far from being a traditional home, the subterranean stronghold is one of around 1,500 such ROC posts constructed across the UK.
