BRISTOL has dropped out of the top 10 cities across Europe for stag and hen parties, with experts blaming the rising costs of going out in the city, compared to cheaper parties to be had on the continent.

The city is still popular with stag and hen parties, according to Matt Mavir, the boss of Britain's leading firm organising the pre-wedding bashes, but people are turning back to more affordable alternatives in places like Prague, Krakow and Budapest. Bristol has consistently been in the top ten of the rankings for the most popular locations for a stag and hen party in Europe, and was in seventh place on Last Night of Freedom's list last year.
