Baseball Badgers secure second seed spot for BBF AAA play-offs

BRISTOL Badgers sealed the second seed spot for the BBF AAA playoffs when they beat Richmond Roebucks 18-8 in the first game of their double header on Sunday in Keynsham.

It was a strong offensive display from the Bristol team with the top of the order, Mattia Papini, Tim Singiser, Deivydas Trinkunas and Keegan Martinjako, driving in 12 runs between them.

Second baseman Anthony Desgardin also had a great game at the plate with three hits as the Badgers scored freely from start to finish.

Trinkunas and Papini were also excellent on the pitchers mound, keeping the Roebucks' offense in check on a hot afternoon at Somerdale Pavilion.
