Blackpool booked their place in the next round of the Vertu Trophy with a group game to spare after victory over Nottingham Forest's U21s at Bloomfield Road on Tuesday evening.

The Seasiders broke the deadlock early on at Bloomfield Road through Emil Hansson, only to be pegged back by Kalum Thompson ahead of the break.
Josh Bowler scored Pool’s winner heading into the closing stages, ensuring their progression into the knockout stages with a further group game still to play.
It took Blackpool five minutes to open the scoring as Jordan Brown played a ball through to Hansson, with the winger finding the back of the net from a tight angle.
Zac Ashworth came close to quickly doubling the Seasiders' lead from a corner, but couldn’t find the target with a close-range header.
