Runner battles storm and injury to raise vital cash

A Fylde coast fundraiser has completed a gruelling 24-hour running challenge in fierce weather conditions, raising nearly £7,000 and inspiring dozens to join him on the route.

Oliver Gooch takes on his toughest Movember challenge yet

Battling high winds, driving rain and an injury just hours into the challenge local runner Oliver Gooch has successfully completed a full 24 hours of continuous running to raise money and awareness for men's mental health through Movember.

He began the challenge at 5pm last Friday, just as Storm Claudia swept across the Fylde coast.
