The first time was so nice, director Vince Gilligan just had to do it twice... The mastermind behind the highest rated TV series on IMDB, Breaking Bad, decided in 2015 that the one series documenting the 'universe' of his making wasn't enough, and so Better Call Saul debuted on Netflix.
At the outset, the show follows fan favourite flamboyant lawyer Saul Goodman's journey as a small, independent practitioner under his real name, James McGill, showing how he is unique to his local competition with his colourful references and at times eccentric tactics and techniques with clients.
He is immediately juxtaposed with other, initially more successful lawyers around him, including the pedigreed Howard Hamlin and Saul's own brother Charles McGill.
