Launch of new People's Plan for Claremont area of resort

An updated masterplan to help boost Blackpool's Claremont area has now been officially launched online.

The 'Our Claremont: People’s Plan' launched online after being put together by local residents.

The Plan sets out a shared vision for a stronger, more connected and thriving Claremont, built through months of conversation, collaboration and community ideas.

Its aim is to ensure the area is ready for capital investment which can revitalise the area, listed as one of the most deprived in the country.

Supported by Blackpool Council and funded by Homes England, the Plan has been facilitated by local charity Magic Club.

The newly-launched plan looks at five themes which residents highlighted: Community; Homes, Health and Happiness; Environment; and Access to Work and looks at what they would like to see happen.
