Great school reunion but one smoking fire regret!

Over the years, I've come to realise how rare it is to have good mates from school and still be in touch.

After a sporadic message from one of the amigos and we were suddenly in date-planning mode.

It involved travel and adult sleepovers which, it turns out, can be just as complex to organise as the kind you arrange for your children.

It was perfect barbecue weather and I was the host which was great news, as I've recently lost my barbecue mojo. When there's only a few of you eating, I struggle to see the point.
