Briers hoping for more consistency in team selection

Fylde RFC are hoping for better luck with injuries as the season's second block of fixtures gets under way this Saturday after a weekend off.

The Woodlands club won five of the season's first eight games and stand fifth in National Two North ahead of the return to action at Wharfedale (2pm).

Joint-head coach Chris Briers is satisfied with their progress in adversity and told The Gazette: "We are pleased with how we've done in the first block considering the number of players we've used after picking up quite a few knocks.

"We could have had some different outcomes if we'd been able to field a more consistent side.
