WOLVES captain Nelson Semedo believes he has “gained a lot of mental strength” from his experiences as a professional footballer.
The 31-year-old is coming to the end of his fifth season at Molineux, with the defender having joined from Barcelona in 2020 and having made 175 appearances for the club to date.
Semedo, who was named club captain in December, spoke of how his mental state has “improved” over the years, particularly in regards to dealing with the scrutiny that comes with being involved in elite sport.
“I think it's something you gain or you work on as you get more experience,’ the skipper told his club’s website. “I gained a lot of mental strength from all of the different experiences I've had, so I think I'm quite strong mentally.
