Sasa aims to stay on front foot after cup comeback
August 30, 2025
|Birmingham Mail
WOLVES striker Sasa Kalajdzic hopes momentum will be on their side for today’s Premier League clash with Everton following the dramatic Carabao Cup victory against West Ham.
Kalajdzic came on against the Hammers on Tuesday night and helped to turn the second-round tie in Wolves’ favour as they came from behind to win 3-2 at Molineux.
He believes it can stand them in good stead as they look to get off the mark in the league today.
“It was a really good moment,” said Kalajdzic. “I think we can be happy, we can breathe a little bit, but, after that, it’s full focus on Saturday because, at the end of the day, the league is more important than the cup.
“It’s definitely given us a chance to start the season in the right moment now. Football is all about momentum and hopefully we can shift the momentum onto our side now.
“It was not the easiest one, being 2-1 down, but I'm happy we could win. It’s always easier when the team is successful and, for that, I'm really happy about it.
