'GNATS FROM SEWAGE WORKS GETTING INTO OUR HOMES & FOOD'
RESIDENTS claim swarms of flies from a nearby sewage treatment works have returned to terrorise their estate in the West Midlands.
Homeowners living on Kelverley Grove in West Bromwich claim the flies - known as 'window gnats' - have got into their cupboards, fridges... and even their food.
Residents claim the flies are coming from a nearby sewage treatment works operated by Severn Trent Water.
Photographs showed the window gnats gathered around a sink, while one residents had collected dozens of the critters in a small fruit bag.
