Reform councillor to lead authority

REFORM'S Ray Nock has been confirmed as the new leader of Sandwell Council.

Cllr Ray Nock, pictured, becomes the authority's first Reform leader after the party took control of the Black Country borough in an historic win where Labour lost its grip on power for the first time since 1979.
"It's such an honour to serve the people of the borough," he said at the council's annual meeting this week.
"A borough where I was born, grew up, worked and later helped educate our young folk for the challenges of the future.
