New padel craze swings into action at golf centre
October 30, 2025
|Birmingham Mail
A GOLF centre in a Solihull village has been given permission to branch out and offer one of the fastest growing sports in the country.
-
Four Ashes Golf Centre in Dorridge originally applied for permission to build three padel courts last year.
The fast-growing sport, which is a mix of squash and tennis, was invented in the late 1960s.
It is played in doubles on an enclosed court about a third of the size of a tennis court and uses the same scoring system.
